DueWallet

Fees

Transparent fees. No surprises.

DueWallet is free to download and free to hold. As a self-custodial wallet we never charge custody, account or withdrawal fees. You only pay network fees to blockchain validators — and a small, clearly shown fee on certain in-app services.

Why does a self-custodial wallet have any fees?

Because DueWallet never holds your funds, we cannot charge you for custody — and we do not want to. Our business is funded by small, optional service fees on swaps and bridges, where we aggregate dozens of liquidity sources to find you a better rate than you would usually get on a single exchange.

Network (gas) fees are different: they are paid directly to the validators or miners who secure each blockchain. DueWallet shows a live estimate with Slow, Normal and Fast options so you can choose the trade-off between cost and speed.

Fee FAQ

Is DueWallet free?

Yes. Downloading, creating wallets, holding, sending and receiving have no DueWallet fee. You only pay the blockchain network fee when sending.

Why did my send cost more than expected?

Network fees rise when a blockchain is congested. You can choose a slower fee tier or wait until fees drop.

Do I need the native coin to pay fees?

Usually yes — for example ETH for Ethereum or BNB for BNB Chain. DueWallet warns you if you do not have enough to cover the fee.

Can DueWallet refund network fees?

No. Network fees are paid to independent validators and are not controlled or collected by DueWallet.
